State or Federal?
South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) requests proposals for emission reduction projects within the geographical boundaries of the SCAQMD (Riverside county portion of the Salton Sea Air Basin or the South Coast Air Basin). Projects must demonstrate real emission reductions or develop new technologies and comply with any applicable restrictions. Examples of past projects include school bus retrofit or replacement, truck stop electrification, weatherizing building and homes, renewable power generation at public buildings, and infrastructure improvements.
Eligible Entities
Academic Institutions, Local Public Agencies, Nonprofit Organizations, Private Corporations, State Government
Eligibility Notes
Eligible proposers include organizations, individuals, technology manufacturers, businesses, government agencies, universities, consultants, or any other entities that demonstrate a wide range of knowledge and experience, or other evidence of capacity to implement the proposed emission reduction project.

There is an optional bidder's conference on January 24, 2018, 9:00 a.m - 11:00 a.m. in Room CC6 at SCAQMD Headquarters in Diamond Bar, California.

Additional points in scoring are available for contractors that qualify as Small Business or Small Business Joint Venture, DVBE or DVBE Joint Venture, use of DVBE or Small Business Subcontractors, low-emission vehicle business, local business, or off-peak hours delivery business. The cumulative points awarded for these types of contractors shall not exceed 15 points.
