Eligibility Notes
Eligible applicants for infrastructure projects are all subdivisions of state and local government including departments, agencies, commissions, special districts. Schools, school districts, and Mello-Roos community facilities are eligible to apply. Nonprofit entities must meet certain requirements to apply.
Summary
This program provides low-cost financing from $50,000 to $25,000,000 for a range of infrastructure and economic development projects. Eligible infrastructure projects include, but are not limited to: city streets; county highways; state highways; drainage, water supply and flood control; environmental mitigation measures; goods movement-related infrastructure; parks and recreational facilities; port facilities; public transit; power and communications facilities; sewage collection and treatment; solid waste collection and disposal; water treatment and distribution; defense conversion; and public safety facilities. Economic expansion projects may also be funded including: industrial, utility, and commercial facilities; and education, cultural, and social facilities. Funds may be used for designing, acquiring, planning, constructing,improving, restoring or developing eligible facilities.
