The WIOA, Title II: AEFLA grant provides supplemental funds for adult education to (1) assist adults to become literate and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and economic self-sufficiency; (2) assist adults who are parents or family members to obtain education and skills; (3) assist adults in attaining a secondary school diploma and postsecondary education and training, including through career pathways; and (4) assist immigrants and other individuals who are English language learners. Note: Current funding is limited to existing 2017–18 grantees.

Only existing grantees funded in 2017-18 are eligible to submit applications for funding.

This is a variable pay-for-performance reimbursable grant. Agencies must satisfy all performance requirements and generate payment points to receive future funding. Successful continuing applicants will be awarded funds based upon past payment points earned or audited Adult Education Office proof of projected performance.
