The FAST (Fixing America’s Surface Transportation) Act established the Advanced Transportation and Congestion Management Technologies Deployment Program to make competitive grants for the development of model deployment sites for large scale installation and operation of advanced transportation technologies to improve safety, efficiency, system performance, and infrastructure return on investment. Eligible applicants include: state and local governments, transit agencies, metropolitan planning organizations, political subdivisions of a state or local government, multi-jurisdictional groups, or consortia of research or academic institutions. A consortium should represent a long-term relationship that will last the full life of the award. A sole research or academic organization that is not part of a consortium is not eligible |
