Summary

The purpose of the funding is to provide technical and financial assistance to local agencies for the planning and construction of water recycling projects that promote the beneficial use of treated municipal wastewater in order to augment fresh water supplies in California.

Eligibility Notes

Construction Grant/PF Eligibility: Public agencies having jurisdiction over disposal of sewage, industrial wastes, or other wastes, or an Indian tribe or an authorized Indian tribal organization, or a designated and approved management agency under Section 1288 of title 33 of the United States Code.

Planning grant: Public agencies having jurisdiction over disposal of sewage, industrial wastes, or other wastes, or an Indian tribe or an authorized Indian tribal organization, or a designated and approved management agency under Section 1288 of title 33 of the United States Code.

Principal Forgiveness Eligibility for Stormwater and Estuary projects: Any municipality or intermunicipal, interstate, or state agency (regardless of population, MHI, or wastewater rates).
