Eligibility Notes
Applicants may submit a proposal in partnership with other entities that intend to participate in the implementation of the project, including vehicle manufacturers, equipment vendors, and owners or operators of related facilities.

Match Notes
Applicants must provide nonfederal cash or in-kind match: At least 15 percent of the total transit bus cost, At least 10 percent of the net project cost of equipment or facilities. Cash match can be obtained from: non-governmental sources, revenues derived from sale of advertising and concessions, amounts received under a service agreement with social service agency or private social service organization, replacement or depreciation cash fund or reserve. Transportation development credit or documentation of in-kind match will be considered to meet the matching requirements.

Previous award recipients include: San Joaquin Regional Transit (Stockton, CA) Transit Authority of River City (Louisville, KY) Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (Dallas, TX) Proposals will be evaluated according to: demonstration of need, demonstration of benefits, planning and local/regional prioritization, local financial commitment, and technical, legal, and financial capacity.
