| Summary |

This program supports the nation’s transit fleet in transitioning to the lowest polluting and most energy-efficient transit vehicle technologies. Funding will support the purchase or lease of zero-emission and low-emission transit buses, including acquisition, construction, and leasing of required supporting facilities. The program also supports the deployment of U.S. made transit buses that have been largely proven in testing, but are not yet widely deployed. The transition to low-polluting, energy-efficient transit is intended to reduce local air pollution and direct carbon emissions, |
