Summary

The purpose of this program is to meet the educational and career training needs of workers who have lost their jobs or are threatened with job loss as a result of foreign trade. The goal of this program is to increase attainment of degrees, certificates, diplomas, and other industry-recognized credentials, introduce or replicate effective methods for designing and delivering instruction, and demonstrate improved employment outcomes. Supported projects must engage employers, regional industry organizations, national industry organizations, state and local workforce boards, and education and economic development entities. This final round of funding is focused on innovative, sector-based system change in regional and statewide economies.

Eligibility Notes

Accredited institutions of higher education, including two-year and four-year colleges and universities, historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), tribally controlled colleges and universities (TCUs), Hispanic-serving institutions, and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-serving institutions (AANAPIs)
Consortia of three or more accredited institutions of higher education
An applicant may submit only one application either as a sole applicant or the lead applicant of a consortium. However, applicants may also submit one or more applications as a non-lead member of a consortium.

Eligible institutions previously funded as a lead institution under either a single institution or consortium application through TAACCCT SGA/DFY PY 12-10 (Round 3) may not apply, but may participate in a consortium application as a member institution.
